GLOBAL OBJECTIVE
To improve the monitoring of the implementation and results of the National Food and Nutrition Policy (NFNP) and National Food and Nutrition Strategic Plan (NFNSP) through the web-based collection and presentation of data from the Social Cluster Ministries and other concerned agencies and stakeholders implementing the NFNSP.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
o To establish a web-based national nutrition dashboard to collect and make data easily accessible from Social Cluster Ministries' management information systems and other relevant sources and surveys.
o Data collection, analysis and use should be available at sub-national and national level and being aggregated from sub-national layers (30 districts).
o To provide at national- and district level a results-based overview of status and progress on selected core nutrition indicators, emphasizing key nutrition governance-, output-, outcome- and coverage- and impact indicators, thereby strengthening the basis for nutrition-sensitive planning and budgeting.
o Minimize the duplication of data collection and parallel data reporting.
o Increase the accessibility of information on the implementation and results of the NFNSP.
o Allow timely, secure and easy storage, processing and retrieval of food & nutrition data.

AEDES is looking for one or two senior experts.

Job qualification
Qualification and skills:
• University Degree or Postgraduate Degree in information systems, public health or another
• relevant field closely related to the scope of the Terms of Reference.
• Excellent English-language report writing and communication skills.
Professional experience:
• Profound experience with DHIS-2, HMIS
• Profound experience with web-based information platforms / databases
• Profound experience with open source health information software
• Profound experience with health system reporting tools
• Profound experience with data management, preferably related to public health informatics
• Profound experience with database design and data integration
Mission duration and start date
80 working days are available for the assignment. The input can be split among up to 2 experts (Expert Category I) as long as the required timeframe for the delivery of the outputs is met.
