The purpose of this project is to develop an urban immunisation strategy for Djibouti City, Djibouti. The project will include a diagnostic/assessment, a mapping of potential partners/service providers in urban areas and a costed strategy (demand generation and service delivery) to improve immunisation coverage in large population centres.

Job description
The consultant/consultancy firm will be expected to work in Djibouti in collaboration with Gavi’s core technical partners, WHO and UNICEF. Therefore, any applicant must be comfortable with travelling to and working in Djibouti for the purpose of meeting the objectives of this contract.
Job qualification
Academic
- Advanced university degree (Masters or PhD) in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Planning, Statistics or a related technical field.

Skills/Competencies
- Proven experience in working in development settings and in the planning and implementation of health programme delivery;
- Strong skills in analysis, critical thinking and reporting;
- Must possess strong teamwork and team building skills.

Languages
- Strong oral and written communication skills in French and should be able to communicate well with senior government officials;
- Fluency in Arabic is a strong asset.
